American Football in New Zealand is played by clubs located around the country. Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Hastings, Wellington, Nelson and Christchurch. The season starts for most areas in November so the links below may not be live until competition starts,
2023 Club Flag Football Club National Championships
The entries for the 2023 Flag Nationals are open from the 1st February until the 6th March.
The dates are the 25th and 26th March
The venue is Romgomai Sports Park, Flat Bush, Auckland
Only affiliated clubs can enter teams in the nationals however if you are interested in playing, either as an individual or as a team, then contact your local club to see how you can become a member.

2023 American Football Wellington Flag League
The Flag Football Wellington league is starting on Saturday 11th Feb at 1pm.
2 different venues will host the rounds
-
Mckewan Park, Seaview - weeks 1, 3 & finals.
-
Bernie Wood turf hosting weeks 2 & 4.
7 teams will be competing for glory:

Hutt Valley Spartans,

Porirua Warriors,

Turangi Titans
-
4 teams from the Wellington Wolves- Gold, Blue, Black and White.
It will be a barnstormer- so pop along and check out the action across 5 weekends!!

2022 AFA COMPETITIONS
The 2022 Season for the American Football Auckland region will start with 8man competitions for Juniors, Colts, Premier Men and Premier Women.
​
All Games will be played at Mountfort Park, Manurewa on Saturdays form the 29th October until the 17th December

NZAFF Flag Football Club National Championships
NZAFF holds the Flag Football National Championship every year normally in March. Over the past few years Covid has disrupted the event and has forced postponements.
The 2022 edition was affected earlier in the year but it is now confirmed for the 1st and 2nd October in Auckland at a venue yet to be decided.
Only affiliated clubs can enter teams in the nationals however if you are interested in playing, either as an individual or as a team, then contact your local club to see how you can become a member.

Central Flag Football Quad Series
The Central Flag Football Quad series is a Flag Football tournament series held in different venues from Nelson to Hawkes Bay every second weekend starting on the 23rd July.
The tournaments are invitational which means teams and players do not need to be registered to be eligible to play.
